26 November 2017 – 16:00, The John
Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield.
Match Preview & Team News
Huddersfield Town host Manchester City for
their Matchday 13 clash in a very
unpredictable spell of form, after a thrashing
4-0 loss at AFC Bournemouth suffered on
Saturday. Causing an upset against Man United
with a 2-1 win and building on it with a 1-0 win
against West Brom in their last two games,
Terriers have regained confidence in front of
the home crowd and will surely be motivated
to build on such performances nonetheless!
Man City will be an even tougher challenge,
though, coming into the match on the back of a
17-match winning streak and a 1-0 Champions
League success against Feyenoord. Looking
furious at the top of the league table, City are
desperate to further build on the eight-point
gap to the 2 placed Man United.
Citizens have scored a high total of 12 goals in
their last five away games, beating West Brom
twice, Chelsea, Napoli and most recently
Leicester City, and showing they have no
troubles playing away from home. The John
Smith’s Stadium away day has shown
troublesome for many already but the visitors
could just be the toughest challenge for David
Wagner’s men as well.
The sides have met twice earlier this year for
their first head to head clash after more than
15 years, as Huddersfield held the
overpowering rivals to a goalless FA Cup draw
at this ground but only went to suffer a
thrashing 5-1 loss in the replay at Etihad
Stadium. We should be in for another tough
challenge on the day but Pep Guardiola’s men
should be up for the task this time around.
Full Time Winner Odds & Prediction
We will back them to a comfortable win on the
day, with Asian Handicap – Man City to win -1.5
shaping to be a real banker bet at 1/2.
Goals Market Prediction
More worryingly for the home fans, Citizens
have regained defensive stability and we’ll also
back them to a third clean sheet in a row at
4/6.
